What to Expect at a Croissant Meet Up

What to Expect at a Croissant Meet Up

Being a digital nomad has its perks— untethered work environments, flexible work hours, being your own boss, and seriously, did we mention the mobility? We wouldn’t have it any other way really, but some days, being a digital nomad has its lonely points. For one, you can’t just look up from your laptop to crack a joke . . . well, you technically can but hopefully the people nearby will laugh. And sometimes you’re missing out on having a thought partner physically there for spontaneous brainstorming or coffee breaks. But it’s ok. Maybe you haven’t had opportunities to meet more like-minded or like-mobile professions near you. That’s where our meet ups come in.

Croissant Meet Ups are a great way to break up your week, renew your focus, and just hang out with more of your "coworkers," so to speak.

What Exactly Is a Croissant Meet Up?

As freelancers or small teams, it’s hard to establish those positives we miss from a traditional workspace: getting to know coworkers, happy hours, the daily inside jokes. And we wanted to give you opportunities to meet more people of the Croissant Community.

You’ll find Meet Ups at the top of the Community Board on the app. Members and the Croissant team are encouraged to host sessions, and topics can range from bringing people of similar professions together, members who want to learn a new skill, to even just a group who wants to cowork then enjoy happy hour after.

It’s up to the host or the group really! Generally, people come together to meet at a coworking space, everyone chitchats for a little, and then settles in for a discussion, maybe a small presentation by the host, or just sits and coworks.

How do I join a coworking session?

Check out the Meet Ups at the top of the Community Board on the app. Once you click on a card, you can RSVP. Scroll to the bottom of the session’s page to add a comment or question.

On the day of the session, most people comment to see if they can find each other in the space.  If you’re hosting, be sure to give a hint so people can be on the look out.

How does it work on the app?

Once you RSVP, it will hold a seat for you in the space day-of. All you have to do is check into the session which checks you into the coworking space! And you're good to go. We hope to see you at the next one.

Don’t see one you like? Start one yourself! Or email us, and we can help create you create a session.
